The Ice Queen, Brazy Luca, Spells Out Why We Love Her Sound

Brazy Luca is one of the many artists I connected with early in my time as a streaming radio app ambassador. I found her work to be powerful and direct, and her personality that of a star. She is always uplifting other women and artists and is one of the few musicians I have come in contact with that truly wants to see everyone winning. Thankfully, when I asked her to interview for Photobombshell Media, despite her busy schedule of performances, she got right back to me. Check out our conversation below and find out the answer to “Who is Brazy Luca?

Photobombshell: As you know, I am a fan of your work, with one of my favorite tracks of yours being, ‘Money Power.‘ I have always found that like the song lyrics, you stand in your power as a woman in this industry. How did you find that energy and confidence in this male-dominated field?

Brazy Luca: I find that it comes easy to express because it’s the expressions within me, and the easy part is to bring it out! In all honesty, I had to learn to love myself and understand that there will be pros and cons in life. Pushing through obstacles even while things are declining shows you how much inspiration you can find in your reflection. Also, while being impacted by the hard knocks of the many situations you endured.

Photobombshell: You have been performing and showing up all over in 2022! What has been your favorite event this year and why?

Brazy Luca: My favorite event this year was the Hip Hop Ladder Festival in Brooklyn, New York. The energy was amazing, I got a lot of great feedback and worked hard on making that show awesome.

Photobombshell: Talk to us about ‘Too Fancy‘ and ‘Bad Mood,’ your latest releases. What inspired them, and if you could rank them in your current catalog, where would they be?

Brazy Luca: Too Fancy is a fun, provocative, very suggestive song that aligns with the I.C.E. catalog. Bad Mood is a song everyone can relate to. Who hasn’t been in a bad mood? These two songs specifically would be in my top 5.

Photobombshell: Speaking of your top 5 as an artist, what has been your favorite piece that you have worked on or created?

Brazy Luca: All of them are my favorite. It wouldn’t be fair to say one of them is my personal favorite. They are all my babies!

Photobombshell: True, true! I know that your music is so important and special to you. At what point in your life did you decide you were going to go wholeheartedly into music?

Brazy Luca: In 2019, I decided to take a leap of faith and dedicate myself wholeheartedly to making music. It was not easy to accomplish because I was known as a model, and it was difficult to break out of the shadow of my creation. I strive to be a constant reminder to believe in yourself and trust in your abilities.

Photobombshell: That makes a lot of sense. Having to change people’s perceptions can be very challenging, especially when you are already in the public eye. Outside of rap and performing, what inspires you?

Brazy Luca: Family is at the center of everything that I do. Being able to enjoy the time that I spend with my loved ones is something I truly enjoy and value.

Photobombshell: That’s awesome. Thank you for sharing that! For those who don’t know you, how would you describe yourself and your music?

Brazy Luca: I would describe my music as Ice. Do you want to know what I mean by that? I for Inspirational, C for Catchy and E for Empowering. That is why they call me BRAZY LUCA, The Ice Queen!

Photobombshell: I LOVE that! That is the energy I am talking about when it comes to you. I know you are bringing all of that same energy into the new year, so tell us, what plans do you have for the end of this year and 2023?

Brazy Luca: Continuing to work on and build upon my talent, adding more new music, and new collaborations, and continuing to keep it icy.

Photobombshell: Great stuff. As someone who knows who she is and where she is going, I think it’s safe to assume you inspire others on this path. What is one piece of advice you would give another independent artist who is just starting?

Brazy Luca: Believe in yourself and do not allow all of the negative noise to change who you are. Stay true to your lane and your goals!

Photobomshell: What is something you’ve wanted to share in an interview but no one has asked yet?

Brazy Luca: I have been asked every question I can think of, but I will take this time to share that I am calling out all Brazy Squad and all those interested in joining the Brazy Squad movement. Reach out to my management, 87 Music Group, or my PR Katz Brooks Media Group, for more information.

Photobombshell: That’s awesome. It sounds like something exciting is cooking up, and I can not wait to find out what it is. Thank you, Brazy, for taking the time to sit down and work through this interview. As always, it is a pleasure to hear from you.
