For Logan Threat, Music is Life
Photobombshell: Mr. Threat, thank you for sharing your story with me and our community at Photobombshell.media. For those unfamiliar with your work, would you share a bit about your music, where you’re from, and what inspired you to start making music?
Logan Threat: First, I would like to thank you for having me on your show. For those discovering my music, I have released five projects this year, including my latest album on November 24, 2023. It is entitled “40 Days Of Rain.” I will also be releasing another project on December 15, 2023. I’m from East Flatbush, Brooklyn, Carribean City, The 40s, and Side Church Avenue. I was inspired to make music through the experience of black people in my community not having a voice. In addition to that, music is oxygen, and I can’t live without it.

Advice for Independent Artists
Photobombshell: As an artist and producer in the music industry for over a decade, what has your experience been like, and is there any advice you would offer to artists starting now?
Logan Threat: I would first like to say you only have yourself in life. You have to watch your back. Not everyone is out for your best interest. Artists and musicians are seen as commodities. It is your responsibility to persevere, work in your best interests, and make informed decisions.
Challenges of Evolution
Photobombshell: That is probably some of the most authentic and down-to-earth advice I have heard in a long time. What is your greatest challenge as an artist?
Logan Threat: My greatest challenge as an artist is being extremely critical of my work. It is also challenging to maintain my message to my supporters. People expect your views to be a constant, and we all have to evolve.
Photobombshell: I love that perspective. We all grow and evolve, and the music reflects that. I hadn’t considered what a challenge it could be to bring your audience along. You bring up a great point.
Musical Influences
Photobombshell: Now, for you as a creative, who are your musical influences?
Logan Threat: My musical influences are Rakim, Nas, Biggie, 2 Pac, Wu-Tang, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Prince, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Super Cat, Patra, Peter Tosh, The Marleys, KRS, Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Boot Camp Clik, Sade, Maxi Priest, Shabba, Crystal Waters, Cece Peniston, John Coltrane, Kool G Rap, Slick Rick, and the list goes on.
Photobombshell: That’s an impressive list of influences! I love how you pull inspiration from multiple genres and time frames. Super Cat is a personal favorite that I rarely hear from other artists! I love it.
Logan’s Career Highlights
Photobombshell: What has been your stand-out career highlight to date?
Logan Threat: My greatest career highlight would be performing at Hot 97 Summer Jam, being on 106 & Park, and being on the original Power.
Photobombshell: That’s a lot to be proud of! I actually went in and looked for your appearance on 106 & Park and got a kick out of the rap battle clip I found. Very cool!
About “Late Night”
Photobombshell: Talk about one of your most recently released projects, “Late Night.” What was the motivation and inspiration for that project?
Logan Threat: “Late Night” was released because of my hours of operation and being nocturnal. At night, it’s quiet, and you can hear your thoughts and speak freely without interruption, unbothered.
Real Logan Threat and Future Plans
Photobombshell: What is something people misunderstand about you?
Logan Threat: People misunderstand that my true intentions are always love.
Photobombshell: Are there plans for another single or album soon?
Logan Threat: Yes, actually. One album dropped on November 24, and another is scheduled to release on December 15, 2023. Both projects are full-length albums.

Photobombshell: I know you stay busy, but what are your goals for the rest of the year?
Logan Threat: My goals are to continue to inspire and elevate our society, to change the human condition, drop music nonstop, film, and publish my books.
Photobombshell: Before we wrap up, I always like to allow artists to share something they haven’t had the opportunity to do before. What have you wanted to share in an interview, but no one has asked yet?
Logan Threat: Well, no one has ever asked me what matters to me most.
Photobombshell: So, Logan Threat, what is it that matters the most to you as an artist, but also as a person?
Logan Threat: AUTHENTICITY AND LOVE.
