It’s been a year since ELEVEN 11 was released, and BAE.wav set her manifestations on musical success. As one can assume, the artist has been hard at work with new and exciting ways of sharing music, developing community with other baes, and making an impact with her voice and platform. In this interview, we catch up with her to discuss the last year, updates on her professional growth since her previous sit-down with Photobombshell Media, and share excitement for the coming Valentine’s Season.
BAE.wav, it’s Been a Year
Photobombshell: I am super excited to be able to catch up with you. It’s been eight months since your last interview and a year since ELEVEN 11 was released. What have you been up to?
BAE.wav: Being an independent artist is one long, never-ending day, so I’ve been busy! I’ve explored different ways of sharing my music. Now, I see how it’s connecting with new listeners all over the world, which is AMAZING! I work hard to get it out. Most recently, I’ve been getting ready for my favorite szn of the year, VALENTINES <3

Photobombshell: That comes as no surprise. I know you are working on new and exciting ways of sharing your art. Now, with a year since ELEVEN 11 was released, how have you grown and changed as a creative?
BAE.wav: After the first wave of my rollout, I found myself crafting a cocoon to safely continue to grow and evolve. I’ve been immersed in heavy training (professional and personal development) ever since. Time flies. I get stronger, my vision clearer, and I become better at bringing dreams to life. There’s a level of certainty and sureness I have that wasn’t as strong before. I knew to trust the process. Now, results from the past year have assured me I’m right where I’m supposed to be.
Photobombshell: As an artist and a producer, I know ELEVEN 11 was groundbreaking for you. How do you feel about the project now? How have you been measuring its success?
BAE.wav: I feel amazing! Going into the new year, we officially hit over 12k organic streams, but what’s been blowing my mind is all the new listeners discovering my song globally. I get a geography lesson every time I go over stats because there are constantly so many new countries popping up.
I’m very grateful to have so many fans sharing my music and listeners adding my music to new playlists. Seeing that my music has more listeners each day and is reaching farther has been a great way to measure success, but personally, the fact that every time someone hears this song for the first time, they light up with excitement and imagination, to me that’s a major success as an artist.

Building a Space for Baes
Photobombshell: I tend to agree with you on that. Connection is important and probably one of the highest goals for any musician. Congratulations to you on the growth and expansion! Speaking of expansion, I know you have been cultivating an all-female community or at least a community highly supportive of other women since Eleven 11 came out. Would you talk about the inspiration for this and how you create this space when the world is what it is?
BAE.wav: It’s in the name, BAE.wav. There’s a wave of baes everywhere I go, whether virtually or IRL. Of all the life forms in the universe, women simply have my heart in a chokehold. Ultimately, I’m building a platform that will help generations of women connect, create, and celebrate through music and art. Girls run the world now more than ever! The more we continue to link up, the more unstoppable we become!
Photobombshell: I love that perspective and how you keep things fun. Conversely, I have noticed you are not just a pretty face or a pretty sound. You’ve shared some real feelings on political issues and have been outspoken about the current state of Israel and Palestine. It seems to have profoundly impacted you, and I am curious if we will see any political or humanitarian messaging reaching into your music in the future.
BAE.wav: It’s devastating. With so many humanitarian atrocities happening simultaneously, I find myself at a loss for words while also wanting to scream at the top of my lungs. I’ve learned to channel my energy into action and learned action may look different for everyone. There’s no single overnight fix. These things are systemic and require collective daily, deep-rooted changes.
I don’t plan to have messaging directly in my music, but I will be working to include more content to help educate others on world events and inspire more voters to take the power of their voices seriously. This year is a major global election year and a prime for change.
Best Quality in a Producer
Photobombshell: As someone on the outside, I see a lot of leadership values in you. You’re someone who wants to bring people along and put them on. You share this vision for doing what is right. How do your best qualities translate into your sound? As a female producer, what is the most important quality in that role?
BAE.wav: Confidence! When you have an idea, see it through to the end, share it with your chest, and manifest its success with an attitude of certainty. This world can be heavy, so always make sure you move like your dreams have a backbone.

Photobombshell: “Move like your dreams have a backbone” is powerful. I love that. Before Eleven 11 you spoke on some of your reservations that delayed your start in music. For all of the lovelies who have considered producing or getting started in music, but have been too intimidated or full of self-doubt, what would you say?
BAE.wav: Whether you think you can or can’t, YOU’RE RIGHT. If making music is truly something you desire, then the only thing that can hold you back is you. There is a lot of cringe involved in the learning curve of being a creative, and ALL of the greats have been through it. Every icon was once a beginner, so make a habit of chiseling away the doubt and insecurities. Give yourself the opportunity to be a masterpiece.
Future Plans for BAE.wav
Photobombshell: What new and exciting projects do you have cooking and manifesting for 2024?
BAE.wav: New music finally! Last year, I had to scrap nearly everything I’d been working on! It was a very rough, yet necessary part of my journey. Now, I’m building a brand new catalog, and I’m excited about the process because, this year, it involves a camp! All my baes and loyal fans can catch BTS/exclusives through close friends on IG.
Photobombshell: Oh, that’s so cool! I can’t wait to learn more about that through your Instagram account. Follow BAE.wav on IG to catch the juicy details! Thank you again for sharing and the update as we head into Valentine’s season. I know you LOVE love and will be sharing that all over the place in the coming weeks. Is there anyone you want to give a special shoutout to?
BAE.wav: I would love to thank all the independent platforms that showcase independent artists. Over the past year, platforms like Photobombshell Media, Green Tea Studios, Something Dope For the People, Beats Freaks Geeks, and Angel Waves Connection have helped me connect with other artists, discover new music, and reach new listeners. I’m grateful for the communities y’all help build and grow, and I am honored to be a part. Thank you for your support!
