"Lost for Words" is a Welcome Winter Release

It’s New Music Monday! I have something a little different for you today because I think even amid winter, we can all use some island vibes. Today, I break down “Lost for Words” from Jamaican Reggae fusion singer/songwriter and recording artist Kapital Stone. Roe Summerz is featured on the single, adding even more Jamaican reggae and dancehall flare to the project. Let’s dive in and break down the lyrics and soundscape.

Lyrically, Kapital Stone and Roe Summerz express themselves simply and effortlessly. Each speaks on attraction and an immediate connection with another person. The hook is addictive, “I get lost for words every time.” It’s relatable, calm, and incredibly earnest. The song plays back like a wavy love letter penned while sipping a few drinks on the beach. It’s not quite lovesick, but it’s pretty close. If you’ve ever been struck speechless by someone, this song is for you.

Energetically, the single is slow and smooth, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Kapital Stone and Roe Summerz have put together a sleepy love song vibe that anyone who loves love will connect with. The instrumentals are subtle, connecting with the delicate message and island vibes. The bells, horns, and keyboard sounds on the single all play highlighted and backseat roles at different times, giving the project interesting moments while the rhythm remains steady, creating consistency in energy and intention. “Lost for Words” has been incredibly well produced, mixed, and mastered.

Overall, it’s simple and sweet. I only wish the track was longer. On more than one occasion, the song reached the final fade out, and I mistook it (or wished?) it was the bridge. It’s that good. You will want more of it. Now, watch the lyric video from Kapital Stone and Roe Summerz above or stream “Lost for Words” everywhere you listen to music.
