Despite chilly temperatures, feminine energy burned up the stage at the April 2023 Go Crazy Festival event in Brooklyn, New York. This year, Easter Sunday was a little bit different. On April 9, 2023, independent artists and musicians traveled from all over the country to show up and show out at Go Crazy Festival. While the weather may have been a little less than spring-like, the performances were bursting with energy and enthusiasm.

About Go Crazy Festival
If you aren’t familiar with Go Crazy Festival, let’s bring you up to speed. In 2022, No Days Off Entertainment established the Go Crazy Festival as a performance outlet for emerging artists and musicians throughout the USA. Held in New York City since its inception, the festival typically draws independent and unsigned artists of all genres to build and cross-market their fanbases through live performances.

Go Crazy Festival, April 2023
Fortunate enough to have missed a slow start during the 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm window, Photobombshell arrived on time to catch likely the highest energy performance of the event by Jay?Duhhh and YOUNG SHILOH. The two took over the entire event space, hyping the crowd on and off-stage. While attendance waxed and waned throughout the day because of the chilly temperatures at the outdoor location, all of the performances were of quality, well-planned, and well-executed!

Festival Highlights
Highlights from the event include Hidden Julez warming up on stage with Blu Lyon during his spicy performance, SuYungLee‘s incredible costume and stage presence, and an unexpected freestyle from Kayy Alexiss. Wan LeAir brought the grown and sexy vibes performing at one point seated with a cup in hand. Other surprises include a vibe change from alternative rock artist RaheemXO and Tempest Styles‘ stunning command of the stage and the crowd. While Blu Lyon and Wan LeAir were at the top of the list to see, feminine energy took over the second half of the festival. Attendees enjoyed standout performances from Lady Cam, Waifujujuu, VENU$, MonetMo, and one of my favorite rising stars, Costa Reeka (AKA Lil Reeka).

On the media side, the media and press attendees were given excellent access to the performers, stage, and show areas. There was live social media streaming of stage performances (which we think could be monetized in the future) and on-site interviews from the Vargas Brothers. If you performed, you assuredly got some content from it!
Is Go Crazy Your Next Event?
This full-day festival is for anyone interested in exploring new music. The acts, varying in online and streaming presence, brought good tracks, performances, and audience engagement to the stage. As someone looking for new music, the event did not disappoint. It’s a hot spot for anyone looking for new talent or connecting with artists growing their presence in New York.

For attendees, you will hear great music; that is what you want when you go to a show. For the artists, the event offers more, with the opportunity to connect with like-minded creatives, network, cross-market, get some press, and book future shows. Performers readily exchanged information, social media connections, and publicity for future events throughout the event. Artists organically did this, demonstrating the power of the festival and the independent artist community.

Go Crazy AGAIN in 2023!
The next event, tentatively slated for August 2023, might be the sweet spot for artists and attendees to do it again. With warmer weather, flowing drinks, great food, and music that will make you move, the next Go Crazy Festival event will be bigger and better than the last. As a festival growing and building momentum from a simple artist showcase to a massive festival undertaking, and I only see progress and improvement from here. With fine-tuning for set times, start times, vendors, and a few other minor tweaks, this event will pack future venues.
